The Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) helps businesses innovate and grow on an international scale. It is the world’s largest support network for small and medium-d enterprises (SMEs) with international ambitions.
The Network is active worldwide. It brings together experts from member organisations that are renowned for their excellence in business support.

Business services
Teams of Network experts in each member organisation offer personalised services to businesses and research.
They know the local business and research environment and have contacts for opportunities worldwide.
The Enterprise Europe Network can also offer a targeted approach aimed specifically at your sector. Its groups of experts cover all key economic sectors, from healthcare, agri-food and intelligent energy to fashion and textile. In addition, the Network will help companies increase their resilience and support SMEs in their transition to more sustainable and digital business models.

Among the services aimed at enhancing business sustainability, ENEA has proposed the implementation of two industrial symbiosis tables within the regions of Southern Italy. This initiative seeks to foster a cooperative systemic approach for the shared utilization of resources, such as by-products, energy waste, services, capabilities and skills. Industrial symbiosis, constituting a pivotal strategy within the circular economy framework, entails fostering collaboration among companies across diverse production sectors, to optimize resource reuse and waste reduction through knowledge and skill sharing. The overarching goal is to establish a network that catalyzes innovative strategies and competitive advantages, by facilitating resource exchanges, wherein waste generated by one company is repurposed as raw material by another. As a result, reliance on virgin raw materials and waste disposal decrease, thus facilitating the material loop closing and the reduction of emissions, energy consumption, and associated costs. Key aspects of industrial symbiosis include fostering inter-company collaboration and capitalizing on synergy opportunities within a given geographical & economic context.
