Workshop: Future of single-use consumer products

Among the single use products, plastic plays an important role either positively being a very good material in terms of technical performance, either negatively due to the adverse environmental impact when disposed in an uncontrolled way.
EU issued recently a Directive addressing the ban of some specific items (cotton bud sticks, food containers, cutlery, etc) focusing on quality of plastics and alternative materials and/or solutions.
The workshop will discuss the most controversial issues related to this topics (which future for single use plastics, how reliable are alternative options, effectiveness of some materials bans).
